What Was the First "No-Filler" Rock Album?
A question for you

Are you sick and tired of hearing about the Jefitoblog Discord for paying subscribers yet? If you are, tough shit! I'm about to recommend that you sign up again.
It isn't just that it's an added benefit for your measly $50 a year. It's that it connects you with your fellow subscribers, and they have a lot of cool stuff to say. It's a terrific little community, which makes me happier than I can tell you, because the desire to build a community is half of why I revived this site in the first place. (The other half is ego. It's always ego, and if any writer ever tells you otherwise, don't believe them.)
Anyway, even on days when I don't post, there's always something happening on the Jefitoblog Discord. You never know when someone's going to share a link or ask a question that starts a conversation. Sometimes, it even happens courtesy of Jeffrey Thames, a.k.a. VJBigSuit, a.k.a. King of Grief, a.k.a. the guy whose main function in life seems to be sending me hateful ALF memes on a daily basis. You know that old saying about how a broken clock is right twice a day? Well, Thames is a broken clock that'll gladly take a piss in your ear while it's wrong 22 out of 24 hours at a time. And yet even this scabrous maniac has something worthwhile to share on occasion. For example, on June 18, he asked the group:
What’s the general consensus on the first “no-filler” rock album?
This is a great question. I tend to think it fell out of his brain completely accidentally, but it's still a great question. Thames offered several solid examples — Elvis Presley, The “Chirping” Crickets, and Here’s Little Richard to be specific — but I'm not sure the Discord crew ever reached a real consensus, so now, on this unpleasantly hot Sunday evening, I'm asking you to buckle down, search your mental archives, and offer your suggestions. You will get zero points for nominating Rubber Soul. Fire away (and become a paying subscriber, if you haven't already)!
